Susan Taylor serves as the Director of Grants and Planned Giving for Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon. Susan has directed college efforts in raising $16 million in competitive grants since 2008. Her role in fundraising was central to establishing UCC's flagship program, the Southern Oregon Wine Institute, and the new Health, Nursing, and Science Center. Adding planned giving to her UCC Foundation role in 2013, Susan has launched the Foundation's Planned Giving Program, Fund for Innovation, and works with the UCC Foundation team to implement its goals.
Ms. Taylor specializes in resource diversification, strategic partnerships, federal grants, and special projects, and is an active speaker at national conferences, webinars, and classrooms. She has a master's degree in public administration from University of Montana and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). She was recently awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to participate in the International Education Administrators Seminar in Germany.
Prior to starting at UCC in 2006, Ms. Taylor held roles as national park ranger, Boys & Girls Club executive director, and field ecology teacher. She enjoys travel, wine, music, swimming, reading, and the outdoors.
